Jellyfish – By The Ton!

The coast of Japan has been invaded by huge 450 lb Nomura’s Jellyfish that can grow up to seven feet wide.

And there are thousands of them!

So many, in fact, that they have all but stopped the fishing industry.   Shoot, 10-tonne Japanese trawler was recently capsized by the gigantic jellyfish!

For myself – I just love the pictures!

There is something….I don’t know….strange, and other worldly about giant jellyfish that just gets to me (in a good way). In high school, I painted a large 3’x2’ watercolor of a Portuguese Man O’ War (I wonder if I still have that old painting…..)

You know as I write this, I can’t help but think about the way the creatures move – riding the currents of the sea to lands unknown. We too must “ride the currents” of the Spirit to lands unknown to us – trusting that the Lord knows the end destination.

Blow wind, blow; flow river, flow; lead us on to lands unknown.
